This is me, painted on a carpet tile. Something walked on, used, ignored. That was the point. I wanted to put myself on a surface that is not meant to be seen this way. A surface that absorbs everything, dirt, weight, silence, and still holds together. I did not smooth anything out. I let the texture stay visible because that is real. Life does not always come on a clean canvas. Sometimes it is rough, uneven, and unexpected. That is what this moment was, a version of me caught in between, still, unsure, present.
There is something powerful about placing myself here, not on a pedestal, but underfoot. Not asking to be admired, just to be noticed, even for a second.
