There were moments when I felt like the only way to cope was to disappear inside myself. This piece captures that feeling. The body is mine, but the face is gone—hidden, overwhelmed, not ready to be seen. I’ve learned how to show up while still retreating. I’ve learned how to sit in silence without giving myself away. This was never about hiding from others. It was about protecting what little I had left on the inside.
